Pingpong africa started as a small blog with a big dream: to showcase Africa’s talent to the world and connect table tennis enthusiasts across borders. Inspired by our founder, a former national player, we set out to create a dedicated platform where African players could be celebrated and a true community could thrive.
We brought together passionate writers, developers, and table tennis experts who shared our vision. With their support, our coverage expanded to include tournaments, interviews, player profiles, and soon technical analysis, giving fans richer insights into the sport.
Through our social platforms, we built an active online community by delivering consistent updates and news focused on African players. From international tournaments to local competitions, we made sure no country and no player was left behind.
Following the Paris Olympics, we widened our scope to cover world table tennis while keeping a special spotlight on African players. Today, Pingpong africa has grown into a comprehensive platform with over 100,000 followers worldwide. We’ve partnered with tournaments, associations, and players to deliver exclusive content and live event coverage across the globe.
Headquartered in Nigeria, our focus in 2026 is to capture and highlight talent from national-sanctioned tournaments with full results, documentation, and player rankings directly on our website. By mid-year, we aim to extend these efforts by partnering with neighboring countries, further strengthening our role as Africa’s leading table tennis hub.
